Christopher Mark Sargent

March 31, 1963 - November 22, 2021

Christopher Mark Sargent of Palm Bay, Florida passed away on November 22, 2021.

He was born on March 31, 1963, in Millington, Tennessee.  He grew up as a military brat living in several places in the U.S. including Colorado, and at Subic Bay, Philippines. He attended Gateway High School in Aurora, Colorado before entering the U.S. Marine Corps.  He worked for several years as a civilian government contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan and then returned to Florida to work where he resided until his death.

Chris had two dogs, Sadie and Gracie, that were the loves of his life.  He spent most waking moments with them and working in his yard which he maintained immaculately with great pride.  He had a wicked sense of humor, a giant heart, and hated most vegetables.  He loved to travel and was able to see several places around the world including Croatia, Dubai, and Thailand.

He is survived by his sister, Kimberly (Jody) Utesch from Centennial, Colorado, his sons, Tyler, Ryan, and Joshua, seven grandchildren, two uncles, and a host of cousins.  He was predeceased by his father, William Sargent, and his mother, Arline Svenson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.  No service is planned.

Jessica Lenstrom Chris was a great friend and neighbor. An obvious extrovert, he was a great conversationalist. My daughter in particular had a close relationship with Chris, Sadie, and Gracie. She spent many days and weekends over at his house, playing with/walking the dogs, helping “Risk” weed his yard, and trading stories with him. Even when she was grounded to the yard, she would beg to be allowed to go over to his house as the one exception. He was always very sweet to the neighborhood kids, often buying them special candies for Halloween and giving gift cards for Christmas. I always looked forward to when he would come around the block “with the girls”. He will be deeply missed.
