Albert Bowman, III

April 27, 1958 - January 11, 2022

Albert Bowman, III of Oakland, Ca. passed away in Oakland, Ca on January 11, 2022.

Albert (affectionately called "Golf") was born in San Francisco, Ca on April 27, 1958 to Albert and Alberta Bowman. He attended Castlemont High School in Oakland, graduating in 1977. He worked at the U.S. Post Office, Oakland as a mail handler for many years.

Albert enjoyed his family, his friends, animals and drawing. He was a proud member of Allen Temple Baptist Church.

He is survived by his four sisters Hazel Bowman of Kernersville, NC, Pamalar Simien of Hayward, Ca,  Tanya Bowman of Kentwood, La, and Octavia Bowman-Lewis (Jason) of Lafayette, La; two brothers, Angelo Bowman (Roselle) of Sacramento, Ca; Willie James Wiggins of Montgomery, Al; aunts Beatrice Jiles, Angela Pierce, and Sandra Bowman all of Montgomery, Al; one uncle, Robert (Delores) Bowman of Montgomery, Al; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close life-long friends, and a special friend and companion, Tricia Lee. Albert was predeceased by his parents Albert and Alberta Bowman; his two brothers Jessie and Johnny Wayne Bowman.

The greatest comfort we can have is the hope and confidence that our relationship with Albert does not end in death. Albert had recently recommitted his life back to God and he IS currently with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, experiencing His joy (2 Corinthians 5:8). "Death has been swallowed up in victory! Where, O death, is thy sting?" (1 Corinthians 15:55) God has prepared a new home for Albert where there is no more death, no more tears, or pain (Rev 21:1-4).

Ebony W My family send our prayers, love, and God's comfort to Mr. Albert's family at this time. We will always remember Mr. Albert to be a kind, passionate, caring, and loving man of God. We will miss his hour long phone calls, his smile, support, and encouragements! Although our family had a short time knowing him, we know with God he'll always be with us enforcing and protecting us as he always did! Gone but never forgotten!
