Ronald John Ward

January 13, 1939 - January 02, 2022

In loving memory to Ronald John Ward who passed on January 2, 2022 at the age of 82, surrounded by his family. Ronald was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on January 13, 1939. He married the love of his life Carleen Ann Ward June 17, 1961, and they celebrated 54 years of marriage before her passing September 22, 2015.

Ron was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather. He served with our armed forces in the Air Force and then went to work for his Father’s Tri-state Pest Control business when his Father’s health started to fail. He was also a devoted member of his church and in his community.  He moved from Vermont to Tucson, AZ in 1980 and was employed with IBM as a manager and retired with them after 25 years of service. In retirement he enjoyed time with his wife and took up wood working. He built toy boxes and play houses for his grandchildren and many great pieces that he shared with his family. He enjoyed working as a Supervisor for Award Installations, Inc. alongside his son, Jim Ward. He also loved telling stories and sharing life lessons with his grandchildren.

Ron was a loving father to James J. Ward (Shannon L. Ward) and Thomas A. Ward. Ron was grandfather to his pride and joys, Amanda Ward and Reece and Ryan Ward and Great-Grandfather to Isaac and Aiden. He is also survived by brother David Ward and sister Carolyn Daignault.

Ron enjoyed camping and RVing with his friends and with his family and crew. He loved the outdoors, campfires and being surrounded by fun and friends.  He was the camp host for many, many trips and enjoyed teaching the grandkids how fish. He was the Patriarch of our family, and we will never be the same without him. We miss him very much, but he is at peace and surrounded by his heavenly family until we are reunited again.

A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude. Condolences and special thoughts may be left on this site.
