December 16, 1953 - October 30, 2020

Fernando Patiño Romero, 66, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on October 30, 2020, of natural causes. He was born on December 16, 1953, in Tucson, to Alejandro Arriaga Romero and Josephine Patiño. Fernando last worked as a Security Guard in the resort industry but had previously also worked as a maintenance technician at San Manuel Copper Mine. He had many interests, and liked to stay busy, earning him the nickname, Mr. Project. He enjoyed traveling, working on cars, gardening and enjoying the outdoors. Fernando was a definite basketball fan, and also coached for the Presidio High School basketball team. He was also very active at the Agape Christian Fellowship church, where he also served as a Deacon.
 
Fernando is survived by his loving wife, Lydia Rodriguez Romero; 3 daughters, Sarah, April and Melissa; 4 sons, Abraham, Fernando Jr, Jermaine and Anthony; 2 sisters, Gracie and Mary Helen; 33 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alejandro and Josephine; 1 sister, Anna; and also 2 brothers, Rene and Robert.
 
Services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Agape Christian Fellowship Church, located at 5450 South Park Avenue in Tucson. Viewing will begin at 10:00am, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00am. Family requests donations to the Agape Christian Fellowship Church in lieu of flowers.

Chris Evans my heart aches for his wife and his family I met Fernando 20 yrs ago and I am so glad he came into my life, then lydia came into my life also. 2 beautiful people that I am blessed to have them as friends. Fernando will be one of God's top Angel that I am sure of. I will miss him .I pray for lydia and his family for strength and comfort in the coming days
