Joe Szymanski was one of those rare people you meet in this life that truly loved others unconditionally. His family and his friends will remember him as a genuinely kind and generous soul who always had a smile and a funny story to share. As a young man he was among the very fastest speed skaters in the state of Michigan. A highly decorated combat Veteran who fought in two of the last three great artillery battles of the 20th century at Pork Chop Hill in Korea. 

A dedicated and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was always present to help or offer encouragement. A hero to widows, and fatherless children. A genuine follower of Jesus. He was deeply loved and quite simply unforgettable.
