It is with great sadness the family of Susan Gene (Clayton) Carpenter announces her sudden passing on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at age 63.

Susan will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jon (Marisa), and Carrie. Susan will also be fondly remembered by her sister Sharon Henderson, sister in-laws Karen Lawhon, Joan Carpenter (Brian), brother in-laws Don (Marsha) Carpenter and Mike (Lu-Ann) Carpenter along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband, David Carpenter, her parents, Max and Patricia (Fortier) Clayton, parent's in-law Edwin and Charlene Carpenter, and brother in-law Larry Lawhon.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Due to the unexpected timing, in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting financial assistance to settle Susan's estate via this gofundme: gf.me/u/zp5y38

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Northwest Hospital for their care and compassion.

Jeanna Jenson Jon and Carrie, your mom was such a loyal and true friend to me and I loved her very much. She loved you both so very much and was very proud of you both. I will cherish my last phone call with her, that lasted 4 hrs., along with so many memories with her and the family!!! The family was a Big part of my life and always will be! If Susie could say anything to me right now she would say "BooBoo don't cry and be sad, I'm resting in paradise with David" and I know she would want the same for you both. Susie was a amazing caring, loving and giving wife, mom and friend. I will always cherish her in my heart as I do with David. I will miss them always and forever! Jeanna
