Sally Nemeth, 62, of Los Angeles died July 30, 2021 following a lengthy illness. Born Sarah Louise in Chicago, Sally spent her childhood in Ogden Dunes, IN and Wilmington, DE, moving to Birmingham, AL as a teen. She attended ASFA and graduated from Indian Springs School as one of its first coeds. She was a proud theatre graduate of Northwestern University, her parents’ alma mater. She made Chicago and New York her homes before settling in LA in 1995. Sally was an award-winning playwright, novelist, and screenwriter and was on the faculty of Loyola Marymount University, teaching screenwriting. She was a lifelong leader, advocate, and activist, the causes she supported too numerous to list. She was predeceased by her father, Edward Nemeth. She is survived by husband David Willis, mother Nancy Nemeth, sisters Paula and Carolyn Nemeth, nieces and nephews. Tributes may be made to taikoproject.org and peopleandpetsbtf.org
