Jimmie Garrett Fuqua

June 15, 1964 - September 21, 2021

Jimmie Fuqua was born in Los Angeles, CA on June 15, 1964 to Jimmie Howard Fuqua and Constance Lavinia Iverson.

He went to St. Agatha Elementary school in Los Angeles and after graduation he went to Junipero Serra High School in Gardena. From there his studies took him to Santa Monica College where he majored in PE. He eventually left Santa Monica and started working full time. His first job was as a valet driver at the LAX Airport Hilton Hotel which he loved. He continued in this line of work until he joined his family in Colorado and went to work for Eastman Kodak. He worked there for 17 years as an Emulsions Specialist and when he finally decided to come back home to Los Angeles, he went to work for West Coast Medical as a Marketing Consultant for seven years.

He took trips with friends and family to many places including Puerto Rico, New Orleans, Catalina Island, Mexico, Madison Square Garden in NY, and last but not least to Las Vegas for ‘March Madness’ every year.

We loved him!! Everyone loved him!! He made people laugh until their stomachs ached and tears flowed. He would never pass up an opportunity to play dominoes or any game for that matter and if he didn’t win you would have to keep playing until he won. He did not like to lose.

His favorite saying was “I’m here for a good time, not a long time” and he definitely had a good time while here. He will truly be missed and is forever loved.

Rest In Peace “G-Money”  💙🕊💙🕊💙🕊💙
