Willard Frank Barr 3/27/1942 - 11/10/2021
Bill was born in San Diego in the early war years. His folks moved to the San Jose area to help with the war effort. His San Jose was that of fruit orchards and chicken coops. He graduated from High School and after a very short and half hearted college career he enlisted in the Navy.
After the Navy he worked for the phone company for 30 years. He loved cars and motorcycles, computers, reading and movies (especially science fiction) and watching sports. In retirement he became a house dad, a job he always said was "harder than working".
Having a terrific memory he used a good chunk of it to store a story or joke for any occasion. A truly kind man, he was always ready to help a friend with any project or out of a jam. Sometimes total strangers would be given a ride home if the story was good enough (it was).
He was married a total of three times and raised a daughter and three sons- the youngest 24.
