Ted Froman, formerly of Plumsteadville, passed gently to the Lord at his home on January 13, 2022, surrounded by his adoring family.

He was born in 1936 in Northeast Philadelphia, the fourth of seven children of the late Joseph and Stella Froman.  As a boy, Ted loved spending his time working on local farms, helping to bring in the hay on horse-drawn wagon and realizing his love for the farm life. As a young man, he proudly served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany.  He later met and married the love of his life, Margaret, and together they started a family.  It wasn’t long before they packed up their growing family and moved to Plumsteadville to build their future.

Ted was an independent man who worked with his hands his entire life.  By trade, he owned an auto repair shop, an excavating business and always had an eye out for equipment and things to be bought and sold.  He and Margaret gifted their family the farm life in Plumsteadville, raising cows, chickens, and horses and planting an occasional season of corn.  In his later years, he enjoyed traveling with his wife across the USA in their camper visiting many state parks.

Ted loved his family fiercely and was loved back as much.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret; their five children: Ted, Maggie, Tim (Nissi), Susan (Eric) and Terry; and the greatest joys of his life, their eleven grandchildren: Alice, Emily, TJ, Meghan, Samantha, Herb, Danny, Grace, Ryan, Brigid and Matthew.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 235 E State Street, Doylestown, PA  18901 followed by Theodore’s Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am.  Interment will be at a later date.   Arrangements by Donahue Funeral Home, Flourtown 215-348-9421.
