Kathryn Kerby Wood, Denver, CO, passed away June 1, 2022 after a short illness. She was 89 years of age.  She was born in Louisville, IL and raised in Flora, IL by her parents Edgar James Kerby and Katie Cravens Kerby.  She lived in St Louis, MO and worked for Cotton Belt Railroad before she was transferred to Tyler, TX, where she and husband Robert raised their three daughters.  Kathy then lived in Dallas and Seattle before moving to Denver, CO.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Dorris Kerby, Eldon Kerby and Allen Kerby; and sister Dorothy Snyder.  She is survived by her children, Janis Klein (John), Colorado Springs, CO, Nancy Wood, Ft Lauderdale, FL and Robin Elder, Dallas, TX; grandchildren Lindsey Shields (Andie) San Antonio, TX, Evan Elder, Plano, TX, Grace Klein, Colorado Springs, CO and Emily Engel (Erin), Allen, TX.; and three great grandchildren, Phoebe Shields, Georgia Shields and Jackson Root.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Garden Cares at Cherry Knolls and Elevation Hospice for the care she received at the end of her life.  The family suggests donations to these organizations in lieu of flowers.

A private burial will be held at Littleton Cemetery in Littleton, CO.
