Fred Yee

January 24, 1951 - July 04, 2022

Fred Yee of Culver City, CA passed away peacefully on July 4, 2022. He was 71 years old.

He was the second of seven siblings. Fred is survived by his older brother, Frank; younger brothers, Howard and John (Debbie); and two younger sisters, Alice Mark (Nelson) and Eva Nishi (Henry); and several nephews and nieces. Fred was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Faye Yee and another brother, Harry.

Fred worked as a grounds keeper/landscaper and continued to hone his skills in keeping up the family home in Culver City with morning rituals of cutting and watering.

He will always be remembered as kind and gentle. He adored his family and would give the kids sweets as often as he could. He also enjoyed fishing with his brothers and his buddies.

A memorial service/celebration of his life will be on Monday, August 22nd @ 4:00pm at Faith UMC (2115 West 182nd Street, Torrance, CA). Fred’s final resting place will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills.

The family kindly requests no flowers.

Dear Brother/Uncle Fred,
You gave no one a last farewell
Nor ever said goodbye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knows why
A million times we will miss you
A million times we will cry
In our hearts you hold a place
No one else can ever fill
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God took you home
In our hearts now and forever!
Love you and miss you!!!
