Tamara Lynn Sims of Los Altos, California passed away in her home September 27, 2022. Tami was born May 22, 1977, grew up in Victorville, California, graduated from Victor Valley High School with a UCLA scholarship and graduated with a BA in Psychology. She went on to Long Beach State and received her Masters degree and a PHD from Stanford University. She then went on to be a postdoctoral fellow at the Stanford center of longevity. During her time at stanford, she did pioneering work on culture, emotion and health research. She was then recruited by fidelity, where she worked as a research scientist passionately focusing on diversity and inclusion until her passing.
Tami met Dacien Sims at UCLA where they became College sweethearts. They were married for 18 wonderful years and had three beautiful children, Sofia,14, Nicholas and Matthew, 12. Tami lived a full, happy life enjoying her work, friends, and especially her family. She was an emotionally generous and caring person who loved helping people and offering her Sage advice. Her bright happy smile truly affected anyone who knew her.
Tami is survived by her loving husband, Dacien, her children Sofia, Nicholas and Matthew, her mother, Linda Calvillo, her brother, Ron Calvillo and her Sims Family, Paul and Kay Sims, Athena Sims, Andrea Sims and Darien, Cherise and Parker Sims.
A Celebration of Life is being arranged and will be announced at a later date.
