Robert Mark McDonald was born on Friday, October 27, 1961 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Helen and Richard McDonald. Rob was the second eldest of three children, one brother, Richard, and one sister, Sheryl.
Rob and his family moved to his hometown of Muncie, Indiana. He graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1981. He professed his faith and was baptized into Christ in the campus ministry at Ball State University in the mid 1980's. He moved to St. Louis, Missouri in the fall of 1986, where he continued in his faith at the St. Louis Church of Christ, now known as Gateway City Church. In 1997, Rob moved to Dallas, Texas to help strengthen the DFW church. In February of 1998, Rob married his best friend and love of his life, Angie Thomas. He and Angie decided to move back to St. Louis in 2006 to be closer to family, as they continued to serve the LORD faithfully together. Rob finished his race and received his heavenly reward on Wednesday, November 4, 2020.
Rob was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Bond McDonald.
Rob leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Angie; father, Richard (Carol) McDonald; brother, Rich (Lisa) McDonald; sister, Sheryl (Mark) Barnett; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marti (Bruce) Thomas; one sister-in-law, Kim (David) Markley; one brother-in-law, Neil (Jamie) Thomas; nieces and nephews, Kelsey, Nathan, Christi, Marissa, Eve, John, Dane, Landen, Jillian, and Madi; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
