Tracy Harper
Mark Aaron Radford of Berkley, California passed away on July 3, 2023 at his home.
Mark was born in Shelby, NC on August 19, 1983 to James "Eddie" Radford and Sandra Elaine Brooks.
Mark enjoyed many different hobbies and considered himself a life-long learner. As a child he was inquisitive and enjoyed taking items apart to see how they worked and then reassembling them. He paned for gold in California and sold the jewelry he made from the gold. He designed blueprints for bike camper trailers and shared them with many organizations in hopes of them helping the homeless population. He was always willing to help anyone out, even if it meant giving the shirt off his back. He loved dogs and the time he spent training them.
He is survived by his sister Tracy Harper and husband Justin Harper (Shelby, NC), aunt Deborah Radford Waldrop and husband Van E. Waldrop (Mills River, NC), aunt Sharon Radford Flushing (Murphy, NC), niece Harmony Anne Harper (Shelby, NC), nephew James Jasper Harper (Shelby, NC), and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his best dog Aziz (Berkley, California), brother Chadwick Dean Hamrick (Shelby, NC), father Eddie Radford (Warner Robins, GA), mother Sandra Brooks (Piedmont, SC), grandmother Virginia Radford (Warner Robins, GA), grandfather Kenneth Floyd Radford, Sr. (Murphy, North Carolina), uncle Steven Michael Radford, and uncle Kenneth Floyd Radford, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held for him on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Central Methodist Church in Kings Mountain, NC at 11:00 a.m.
