Lillian Inez Essmyer, 95, life-long resident of Potosi, MO passed away Peacefully on Sunday, March 21, 2021. At the time of her passing, she was living in Kansas City with her youngest daughter.
Lillian was born November 17, 1925 in Potosi to John and Ellen (Baker) Sloan. She spent the majority of her working career as an administrative assistant for the Missouri Extension Office. Lillian was first and foremost, a wife and mother. She was very devoted to both her Lord and her family. She was a member of the Breton Creek Baptist Church for over 60 years.
She married Jerry E. Essmyer on September 4, 1948. He preceded her in death. In addition to both her parents, and her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Survivors include her Three daughters: Sue Essmyer, Bonny Holyfield and husband, Charles and Cynthia Essmyer and husband, John Carter; two granddaughters, Julia Joyce and husband, Warren, and Andrea Nickelson; four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; two brothers, Newt and Larry Sloan; and a sister, Judith Heeter and husband, Richard.
A memorial service and burial will take place at a later date in Potosi, MO. The Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville, MO has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
