Joaquin Santa Cruz  was born on July 25, 1947 in Phoenix, Arizona to Alicia and Joaquin Santa Cruz. Joaquin passed away March 18, 2021 peacefully at 9:35pm with his wife Ida, his kids and lots of family and friends by his side. Joaquin was our champion a fighter until the end. He had a heart of gold, he was always a jokester always making everyone laugh. He loved his wife so much and loved being around his family, he loved dancing, gambling, playing bingo and loved watching Cheaters on Saturdays. Joaquin was a construction worker/cement finisher for most of his life until he got hurt on the job.
Joaquin is survived by his wife of 43 years. Ida Santa Cruz, his sons Brian Santa Cruz and Joaquin Santa Cruz daughters Patricia Santa Cruz and Nancy Santa Cruz, grandchildren Ricardo Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez. Sabryna Santa Cruz, Alonzo Vasquez, Bryan Santa Cruz and Branden Santa Cruz along with 9 others. Great grandson Ezekiel Rodriguez and 5 more and several more on the way. Brother Danny Santa Cruz.
Joaquin is preceded in death by his daughter Rebecca Pineda and his grand daughter Rebekah Santa Cruz. We are going to miss Joaquin tremendously but we know that he is in a better place rejoicing with all his family and friends. Family and friends can pay their respect on March 31st from 5-8pm at Avenidas Funeral Chapel at 522 E Western Ave, Avondale Az 85323 and on April 1st at 9am for a Final Scripture Service followed by Burial at 11am at St Francis Catholic Cemetery 2033 N 48th st Phoenix Az 85008.
A Celebration of his life will be held after services at his daughter Patricia's house 12033 W Davis lane in Avondale Az 85323 (602) 583-1584.
