'Rick' was born to Keokuk Iowa natives Richard 'Dick' Hutcherson and Betty (Eckland) Hutcherson in Charlotte North Carolina.
Rick had a lifelong love for racing. He spent his early childhood in the racing community and spent his entire life following the sport. He was a regular contributor to online forums, he was a great source of NASCAR stats, history, and stories, and had his own dirt track racing career.
Rick was proceeded in death by his grandparents, parents, and brother Doug Claiborne.
Rick leaves behind his loving lifelong stepmother Brenda Hutcherson, sisters Cindy and Sherrie, brother Mark Claiborne, nieces, nephews and cousins. His survivors include sons Richard 'Hutch' Hutcherson, Zane Hutcherson, and Anthony 'AJ' Hutcherson of Keokuk, Iowa.
Rick spent his final years being cared for and loved by companion Ellen Hoaglin in San Manuel, AZ.
