Milan Eugene Caldwell

July 19, 1955 - January 17, 2025

Milan “Mitch” E. Caldwell went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 17, 2025.  He was born on July 19, 1955 to George and Betty Caldwell.  After the family moved to Boise he attended Boise schools and graduated High School from Greenleaf Friends Academy in 1974.

He had a varied career in Law Enforcement after which he joined the Idaho State Penitentiary staff and worked as a guard for close to twenty years.  After leaving the Idaho Department of Corrections, he worked as a long haul truck driver as well as a motor coach driver for Caldwell Transportation.  He traveled many miles driving for various long distance Travel Bus Tours and other various groups.  When he chose to be closer to home, he drove school bus for Caldwell Transportation.  He retired in 2022 due to health issues.

He was a FORD man and took up the hobby of restoring his Bronco vehicles as well as pickup truck.  He enjoyed doing that work until his passing.

He is survived by his longtime companion of 14 years Joyce Kasper of Caldwell, Idaho.  He is also survived by his two sisters: Dorothy Kindall of Boise, ID and Reeta Huyser of Star, ID.

Many thanks go to the doctors and nurses of West Valley Hospital, Saint Alphonsus Hospital in Boise as well as the doctors, nurses and other staff at Canyon West at Cascadia in Caldwell, ID.

A private Celebration of Life will take place at a future date.
