Dawn Lynn Adams of North Port, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025. She was born on August 12, 1946, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Harvey and Audrey Scherbert.

Dawn was united in marriage to Larry Colin Adams on February 14, 1995. Larry preceded her in death in September 2019. Dawn made North Port her home from early adulthood and dedicated many years of service as a pharmacy technician at Walmart.

Dawn had a lifelong passion for animals, especially German Shepherds. She proudly trained and showed her dogs through the Fort Myers German Shepherd Dog Club, earning many awards. Her love for training extended to horses as well, a passion she cherished deeply.

She is survived by her son, James Adams; her six stepchildren; her nephews, Wayne Scherbert and Brian Lemley; her niece, Teresa Lemley; and many other loving family members, friends, and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Adams; her brother, Gary Scherbert; her sisters, Bonnie Tebo and Sandra Lemley; and her niece, Michelle Lemley.

A private witnessing ceremony will be held for her inurnment. No additional services are planned at this time.
