Angelita Rivas of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away in Colorado on April 10, 2026.

Angelita was born in Bryan, Texas on May 12, 1954 to Guadalupe Cantu and Beatriz Cantu. She worked in the childcare industry as a social worker for many years.

Angelita enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, as this was her love language. People in the community knew her as the tamale and food lady.  

She is survived by her loving husband Pedro Majano.  Sylvia Cantu Aguilar , her sister.  Her sons Nicolas Jr (Kim) Martinez, Jesse Martinez,  Lupe (Tari) Martinez and her only daughter Angelica (Gary) Massengill. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her grandsons.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life is planned on May 10, 2026.
