Connie Mae Jackson, nee Golden, 70, of Tucson Arizona, born August 16, 1950 in Mt. Vernon, Ill., went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 30th 2021. She passed peacefully at home in Tucson, Arizona with her sons Austin and Cody beside her.
Connie was a loving and hard-working mother. She was a longtime Department of Defense worker, starting with the Defense Logistics Agency at Scott AFB, Illinois in 1986. She transferred to Fort Riley, Kansas in 1989 and later transferred to Davis Monthan AFB Tucson, Arizona in 1995. She was a direct employee of the Defense Logistics Agency until 2008, at which time she took a job as a contractor doing the same work until her retirement in 2011.
Connie gave her life to the Lord in 1976 and was baptized at the Freewill Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
She is survived by her siblings: Diane Randolph, Renette Davis, Mike Thiessen and Doug Thiessen; her children: Richard, Tina, Cody and Austin. Connie was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
